Press Release: Appointment of Athletic Director

The Newfane Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Athletic Director, Mr. Andrew Busch. Andrew started his teaching career in 2019 in the Syracuse City School District as a special education teacher. He then worked in the Dryden Central School District as a fourth-grade teacher. While at Dryden, Andrew served as both Head and Assistant Coach for Football and both Boys and Girls Basketball at different levels. Andrew started in Newfane this past September as a fifth-grade teacher and has coached the Boys Varsity Soccer team and Boys Modified Basketball team. Andrew is a graduate of SUNY Cortland where he earned a certificate in Special Education as well as Elementary. He is currently a student at SUNY Cortland where he is pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership.
Andrew will officially begin in his new role on Monday, March 10, 2025. Our current Interim Athletic Director, Patrick Burke, will remain with us during this transitional period. We are excited to have Andrew leading the Athletic Department.
